The Flower Bird

These trinket dishes are made of stoneware. The process for this designed started last fall, when the anemones' were blooming in my back garden. I took some of my best blooms and pressed them into clay to make a texture plate. After bisque firing I tested it out to make these botanical dishes. I also used a hand carved stamp to add miniature hummingbirds. I love to see hummingbirds when they come to visit, and I hope you enjoy this pottery ode to our special flower birds!
